MacMillian’s Graduation Fundraiser – correction
Please be advised that the current MacMillian’s Gourmet Cookie Dough/Muffin Batter fundraiser is a joint endeavour of the Grade 6 Gifted and Grade 8 Graduations, and that funds raised will be evenly distributed to both graduations. We truly appreciate our school community’s support to help fund the Graduation of Grade 6 Gifted and Grade 8 students.
Extended Day (Before/After Care) Program Update
This year our school explored the possibility of developing an Extended Day Program (a TDSB before and after-school program) for students in Kindergarten to Grade 6. Unfortunately, based on the number of applications received, there is insufficient interest in a new program for September 2022.
If your child is currently enrolled in a child care or before-and after-school program, please contact the program provider directly for information about their services for next school year.
If you are interested in more information about child care services available in our community, please visit the City of Toronto’s website at www.toronto.ca/community-people/children-parenting or call 416-338-8888.
Student Cell/Smart Phones
Students have been reminded that when at school, their cell/smart phones should be on silent mode and be placed out of sight. There are times when a classroom teacher will permit students to use their phones to support academic learning. Students who go home for lunch may access their phones once they leave the school at lunch, and of course students may use their phones after school. Students requesting to make phone calls during the instructional day should first get permission from their teacher, then come to the office to make the call from our phones.
