Nov. 7, 2022 Update

Dear Summit Heights Families,

As you likely know, at this moment, TDSB schools will be closed to students tomorrow (Monday November 7, 2022).   Like on Friday, our students will continue to learn asynchronously on Monday.

Our staff will be planning and preparing for our students to switch to synchronous learning.  We will also be organizing for the eventual distribution of devices for those who indicated a need.  Teachers had sent out communication about borrowing devices on Friday.

Both the switch to synchronous learning and the distribution of devices are dependent on when the TDSB makes the decision to do so, so please be patient during this transition period.  We will communicate the dates/times once we have the direction from the TDSB.

Some staff have/will organize windows of time for students/parents to pick up work packages/belongings etc.  Please continue to monitor communication from your child’s teacher.

Pizza Lunch Update – Labour Dispute:

In the event that schools remain closed due to the CUPE labour strike, every effort will be made to make-up the missed Pizza Lunch(s) in future weeks.

Please continue to monitor the TDSB’s Twitter account (@TDSB) and the website (www.tdsb.on.ca) for the latest, most up-to-date updates.

Thank you,
