Entry and Exit Routines

Parents should drop off and pick up their children outside the proper doors as follows.

  • · Kindergarten children and their parent/caregiver should wait outside the main entrance.
  • · Gr. 1 to 3 students are to use the recess doors next to the caretaker’s office, opposite the gym.
  • · Gr. 5 and 6 students are to use the west recess doors next to rooms 11 and 12.
  • · Students in the portable use their portable door.

Students are not allowed to enter or exit the school by the main doors because they are for the kindergarten and guests.

Please note that all doors are locked and will remain locked throughout the school day.

Visitors, volunteers, and guests are to enter by the main doors and report to the office to sign in and pick-up and wear a visitor’s tag. Please sign out and return your tag when leaving.

Students are expected to line up and enter the school with their classmates on the ringing of the 8:35 bell. Students not in their classrooms at 8:40 will be marked late.
