School Update

Dear Summit Heights Families,

We hope this email finds you well!  For those who observe Passover, Chag Sameach/Chag Pesach Sameach, which begins this coming Wednesday evening.  For those who observe Easter, Happy Easter! 

A reminder that our school is closed on Friday, April  7 (Good Friday) and Monday, April 10th (Easter Monday).

Subway Lunch Reminder
For those who participate, a reminder that tomorrow (March 31) is Subway Lunch!

TDSB Student Census
Parents, you received an email from the TDSB last week about the upcoming TDSB student Census.  The goal of collecting this information is to honour students’ voices and learn more about their school experiences.  it provides our school and our community with valuable information to help improve!

Parents of students in JK to Grade 3 will receive an email link to complete the census at home with their child.  Parents for students in grades 4-8 will have the choice of completing the census at home with their child OR students may complete the census at school.  Grade 4-8 teachers will communicate with their parents about which date they will set aside to complete the census (those students who have already completed this at home with their parents will be given an alternative task).

The TDSB is asking that the census be completed by the end of May.  Be on the lookout for more information (including the link to the actual census).

City of Toronto Water Main/Infrastructure Work
For those families who live near our school, you likely received written notice from the City of Toronto of upcoming work to the water infrastructure near our school.  The construction is set to begin within the next few weeks (which includes some road closures near our school).  This will likely impact traffic congestion near our school.   If you have concerns or would like to contact the city, please call 311.
